Please note: this is not a Memorial, but rather a concert in George’s honour.

Dr. B. George Blake had a past to be proud of. He served in the RAF in World War II, became a clinical psychologist, a Buddhist monk, an accomplished photographer and an outstanding performance storyteller. In more recent years he had settled on sharing his roots, remembering the stories he heard as a child in Jamaica, using authentic idioms and phrases often accompanied by interesting trivia but always in that deep rich voice that resonates in the memory.  He was a fascinating, model human being in that he lived story – he WAS story.  George gave so much of his talent, time and expertise to thousands of people throughout his life.
